Management Team

FACT relies on a small team of experienced professionals to drive our current business objectives. Our primary focus is the expansion of our existing line of functional food premixes and products. Additionally, attention is given to managing the day to day administration of the Company, as well as meeting the ongoing requirements of a public reporting entity.

Jacqueline Danforth, President

Ms. Danforth has spent the majority of her career working with grass roots start-up organizations, from concept to commercialization.  Her most recent focus from 1997 to present having been technology driven projects.  Ms. Danforth joined the Board of Directors and became the President of FACT in August 7, 2001.  Her mandate upon joining FACT was to acquire innovative food technology with application to the “functional foods” category of the industry and commercialize this technology for market entry.  Since joining FACT Ms. Danforth has spearheaded the commercialization of a series of proprietary formulations which are currently marketed as high fiber/reduced carbohydrate premixes and products to manufacturers, distributors and re-sellers across the bakery segment.  With an educational background in chemistry and finance, Ms. Danforth also brings to FACT a broad range of experience with publicly traded corporations listed on both Canadian and US exchanges including all aspects of public reporting, corporate finance and shareholder communications.

W. Scott Lawler - Director & General Counsel

Mr. W. Scott Lawler has been active in the management of FACT Corporation since November 1, 1999 providing legal consultation and strategic advice.  An attorney admitted in the States of California and Utah, Mr. Lawler received a B.S. degree in Business Management in 1984 from Brigham Young University and his Juris Doctorate degree from U.S.C. Law Center in 1988. From 1988 to 1992, Mr. Lawler was an associate with the New York firm of Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays, & Handler, following which he commenced an independent practice.  Mr. Lawler maintains his independent law practice, Lawler & Associates, specializing in corporate and securities matters.

Paul Litwack, Director and Advisor

Mr. Litwack was appointed to the Board of Directors of FACT in January 2003.  Currently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DA-TECH CORPORATION, an electronic manufacturing services company, Mr. Litwack’s former career focus was the food industry.  During the five years prior to joining DA-TECH, Mr. Litwack was Chief Executive Officer of Frankford Chocolate & Candy Company. From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Litwack served with Northfield Foods Inc. as Vice President – Marketing/Sales and General Manager of their Ashe County Division.  Prior to that, Mr. Litwack served as the Director of New Products and then the Director of Frozen Desserts for Kraft General Foods’ Dairy Products Division.  Mr. Litwack earned a BS in Engineering from Brown University in 1976 and an MBA from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce in 1978.

Dr. Brian Raines, Director and Scientific Advisor

Dr. Raines has spent over 40 years in various scientific and technical positions in the food industry. As an independent consultant, Dr. Raines provides basic scientific research adaptation in the specific area of Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods and has held various positions in that field including Vice President of Technical Services for Lipton Canada, Technical Director for Unilever/Lawry's Foods, and Nutrition and Regulatory Compliance Director for Mars, Inc.  Dr. Raines is a Fellow of both the Canadian and American Institutes of Food Technology.
